Castle LeslieThe village in Glaslough is an architectural gem with its cut stone ashlar walls, sash windows, famine wall and many other original features.  The Castle Leslie estate dating back hundreds of years is beautifully kept and maintained with its large areas of woodlands, Pinetum and parkland.

The village consists of mainly residential housing, shops, bars and hotels; currently it would have a total population of approximately 350.
It was in this setting that Water services choose to pilot an environmentally friendly scheme i.e. “Integrated Constructed Wetlands” (ICWs) to treat the waste-water from the village.
