Temporary Closing of Roads
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the Roads Act, 1993 (Section 75) and Article 12 of Roads Regulation 1994 of the Council’s intention to close a section of the following road from Monday 16th to Friday 27th of August 2010 inclusive, excluding weekend to facilitate the procedure of road resurfacing and surface dressing on the R180 Carrickmacross to Ballybay road.
Road Closed:-
R180 from Carrickmacross Town speed limit to Lough Egish Crossroads.
Alternative Routes:-
Traffic Travelling from Carrickmacross to Ballybay:-
- At Carrickmacross town take the N2 onto Castleblaney town and then take the R183 onto Ballybay Town.
Traffic Travelling from Ballybay to Carrickmacross:-
- At Ballybay Town take the R183 onto Castleblaney town and then take the N2 onto Carrickmacross Town.
Diversion signage will be in place on the above diversion routes.
Local access and emergency services access only will be catered for at all times.
Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the Director of Services for Roads, Monaghan County Council Offices, Glen Road, Monaghan not later than Wednesday 4th August. Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.
