Monaghan Local Authorities Joint Policing Committees
Monaghan County Council and the county’s five Town Councils established Joint Policing Committees in 2009 under the provisions of the Garda Síochana Act 2005. Their purpose is to provide a forum where the Local Authorities and senior Garda officers, with the participation of Oireachtas members and community interests, can consult, discuss and make recommendations on matters affecting the policing of Co Monaghan.
The meetings are open to the public. However, due to space restrictions, members of the public wishing to attend a meeting are asked to apply in advance to the relevant contact person listed below. Members of the public may also submit questions to the relevant JPC. Questions should be submitted in writing before the date of the meeting to the relevant contact person for the JPC concerned.
