Carrickmacross Civic Centre
Monaghan County Council has awarded the contract for the Design and Build of the New Carrickmacross Civic Centre to John Sisk and Sons Ltd. The new Civic centre will consist of:
- Branch Library for Carrickmacross Town,
- Offices for Carrickmacross Town Council,
- Offices for Monaghan Co Co Engineering Area staff; and
- Public Square
The site for the development is on a 1.6 hectare section of site known as the Convent Lands in Carrickmacross Town.
The estimated total cost of the project is €4.8million. Construction is programmed to commence in summer 2010 and the new Civic centre will be operational by spring 2013.
