About Voluntary Housing
Voluntary Housing is county council type housing provided for rent by the Voluntary sector.
Voluntary Housing is similar to county council housing but is provided for rent by the Voluntary sector.
Voluntary Housing is supported by local authorities and the Department of the Environment and Local Government under two separate funding schemes as follows:-
- Capital Assistance Scheme
Funding Limits: One & two person units (Category I) - €110,000
Family type (Category II)/Traveller bays (Category III) - €135,000 - Capital Loan & Subsidy Scheme
Funding Limits: Ordinary level of assistance €135,000 - Site costs: Maximum Funding €40,000 per unit of accommodation.
- Communal Funding Scheme
Funding Limits; €7,500 per unit of accommodation.
