Any facility that accepts waste is required to hold a Waste Facility Permit (WPF) or Certificate of Registration (CoR) under the Waste Management (Facility Permit and Registration) Regulations 2007.
Step 1
- You can download a Waste Facility Permit or Certificate of Registration from Monaghan County Council website under downloads section or the EPA website at www.epa.ie
- Monaghan County Council recommends a pre application meeting be held for all applications.
Step 2
Check the correct application fee for your facility:
- Waste Facility Permit
- Classes 5, 6 and 7 - €2000.00
- All other activities - €1000.00
- Certificate of Registration
- Classes 5, 6, 7 and 10 - €600.00
- All other activities - €300.00
Step 3
Send the completed application form together with the correct application fee and all the relevant documentation to the Environment Section.

Erect or fix a site notice on the facility (For waste facility permit applications only).
