Accessibility Statement
The Monaghan County Council website has been developed towards achieving W3C Double A rating with WCAG and to comply with all priority 1 and 2 checkpoints of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines v 1.0
We are aware of some minor issues in the site and are currently working to rectify this, we hope to comply with ‘AA’ status by the end of 2008.
Non-compliance
Some Online Services on the site have been developed by 3rd party suppliers and are currently outside of our control to improve the accessibility of them in the short term. We will however ensure that accessibility will feature in any future procurement requests for 3rd party systems or upgrades to existing systems where possible.
Future Plans
It is our hope that any substantial new developments of the Monaghan County Council will aim towards ‘AAA’ compliance in 2009.
